What is The Haircut?

The Haircut formed from a group of friends who made the same observation – men hate going to the barber! It takes a lot of time, salon hours are often incompatible with work schedules, the results are inconsistent and high-quality salons are rarely adapted to a male audience. The Haircut offers men an in-home haircare service that meets the needs of contemporary man: quality, availability and simplicity.

Who are our barbers?

Our barbers are seasoned professionals, specialized in men’s haircare and at-home hairdressing. We choose our barbers using the most rigorous selection process in the industry: examining their résumés and portfolios, interviewing their former employers and conducting personality tests and field tests, among other things. Our hairdressers are distinguished industry professionals with many years of experience and a considerable amount of time spent working in fashion, advertising and cinema. How does The Haircut works?

It’s simple! Click here and fill in your city and the date and time you wish to schedule a haircut. Then, take a look at our hairdresser’s portfolios and choose the one you want to book. After doing so, all you have to do is fill in your personal details and proceed to the payment.

How much does it cost me?

We offer services ranging from 35 to 50 euros.

How and when do I pay?

You can pay by credit card when booking your appointment through our MangoPay provider. You will only be charged once your scheduled service has been confirmed by your hairdresser. Please note that The Haircut does not know or store your banking data, and that all financial information provided during payment is secure through MangoPay.

Is it possible to cancel a scheduled service?

Of course. Cancellation is completely free as long as the hairdresser has not confirmed the request. If the hairdresser has already confirmed the request, you will simply have to pay the transaction fee (1.80 euros). Less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, it is no longer possible to cancel the service and receive a refund, since the hairdresser has already made arrangements. If you find yourself in this situation and are not available for a scheduled appointment, why not offer your service to a friend?

How do I choose my personal barber at The Haircut?

When you have submitted the ideal place and time for your service, we will match you with the hairdressers best suited to meet your needs. Viewing their profiles will allow you to consult the history of their services, comments from their previous clients and even sample photographs of their haircuts. If a suggested hairdresser does not suit you, you can check out our other hairdressers simply by clicking on the arrows to the left and right of the page.

Where can my hairdressing service take place?

In order for a service to be carried out in the best possible manner, the place you choose should meet the following conditions: hairdressing should be allowed there (e.g., if it is in an office, check with your employer beforehand); there should be a chair for you to sit on; and there should be enough space for the barber to lay out his or her equipment and circulate around you. A sink or bathtub should also be available nearby if you request a hair wash.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for my service?

If you ordered a hairdressing service without a shampoo, you should have washed your hair recently (either a day before or the same day). Other than that, you have nothing to do – your barber will take care of the rest.

How long does an in-home hairdressing service take?

The estimated time for each service is indicated when booking a hairdresser. If you are in a hurry, notify your barber beforehand or upon arrival and he or she will make sure to complete your service within your given time constraints. Typically, a haircut requires a 45-minute window – including the hairdresser's set-up and clean-up before and after the service.

Will the hairdresser clean up after my service is complete?

Yes, your hairdresser will thoroughly clean the space in which the service was completed immediately following your haircut. To do so, our barbers are equipped with all the necessary cleaning equipment to restore the room to its prior level of cleanliness.

Is there anything I need to do after my hairdresser leaves?

We would love for you to review your service: this will help future customers choose the barber that best fits their needs and will let your hairdresser know that you liked his or her work!

What do I do if my service was unsatisfactory?

If you are not satisfied with the service, you can report it when rating the barber. If the cause of your dissatisfaction is because of a barber’s failure to meet The Haircut's guarantees, you can report it to us through the "Report a problem" button, which can be found in the service rating form. Our customer satisfaction team will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the issue at hand and propose a solution.

 

My online account with The Haircut

 

Why should I create an online account with The Haircut?

Your account allows you to quickly reserve a hairdressing service with our personal barbers, communicate with your hairdresser before his or her arrival, consult the history of your services and find your invoices from previous services. We guarantee that all personal information stored in your account is protected – we will only share your contact information with a hairdresser when absolutely necessary.

How do I create an account?

Using the menu located in the top right-hand corner of our homepage, click on "Log In." Then click “Sign Up” on the next screen, which will guide you through several brief steps to create your account. Your account can also be created when you make book your first appointment with us: After filling in the information required to book your appointment, click on "Create my account." This will prompt you to enter a password and, after doing so, your account will be set up.

What personal information do I need to provide? Who has access to my information?

We ask you for two types of information to create an account: your contact information, which allows the private hairdresser to get in touch with you if he or she has trouble finding the requested service location; and the basic identity information required to sign online contracts. When you order your service, the preferred location of your haircut must also be filled in and can be stored in your account if you wish.

Your contact information and your name are communicated to your barber when he or she confirms your reservation. Otherwise, only your first name and the first initial of your last name are visible on the site, as well as photos of your previous haircuts if you choose to upload them.

Can someone else use my account?

You are the only one authorized to use your account, since it contains your personal information.

I forgot my password

At any time, you can ask to reset your password on the log-in page. A link will be sent to the email address you provided when creating your account. Simply click on that link and you will be able to choose a new password.

I forgot my username

Your account username is the email address you provided when you created your account. If that email address is no longer valid, you can contact us at contact@thehaircut.com or via the Contact form and we will be able to provide you with a new username upon verifying your identity.
